August recess is finally here! GLASS will be taking a break during the recess, so we won’t be hosting official events this month.
We hope you find time to rest, reset, and recharge. We’ll be ready to hit the ground running in September! Here’s what we’ve got going on next month. 👇
Boat Cruise ‘Pre Sail’
GLASS and the LGBT Congressional Staff Association will be hosting the annual boat cruise on Friday, September 5 at 5:30pm at the Georgetown Waterfront! The boat must leave on time. If you’re not there at 5:30pm sharp, we won’t be able to wait. Please plan accordingly!
Presale opens Monday, August 18 at 10:00am and runs through August 20—for dues-paying GLASS members only. Tickets are limited and will be released to the general list only if any remain. Last year, tickets sold out in under 24 hours—don’t wait! Member tickets are $30 and guest tickets are $60 (limit 1 per member).
On August 18 at 10:00am, members will receive a ticket link via the email GLASS has on file. If tickets remain, the link will be shared publicly via the newsletter at the end of the day on August 20.

2025 LGBTQ+ Congressional Staffers Welcome Back to Congress Celebration
Join LGBTQ+ Victory Institute in conjunction with Q Street, LGBT CSA, and Senate GLASS on Tuesday, September 2nd at 6:00pm for a reception celebrating LGBTQ+ congressional staffers! Refreshments will be provided.
