The City of Gillette, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 12:00 p.m., local time, on August 20th, 2025, at City Hall, 2nd Floor Engineering Conference Room, 201 E 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project: 30” Madison Pipeline Repair.
At the meeting, the City of Gillette will present the design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and funding plan can also be reviewed at HDR, Inc., 601 Metz Drive. Contact Justin Stark, P.E. at 307-228-6009.
The City of Gillette initially secured a $10 Million loan from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund. Based on current cost estimates the City plans to borrow and additional $2.5 million from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Current user fees will repay the loan. The average rate of the current fees is estimated to be $0.31/Month per user to repay the additional $2.5 million added to the original loan. Loan terms will be 0% interest rate and 20 years.
