John,

SOS: Deforestation is once again SURGING in the Orangutan Capital of the
World thanks to mega-brands like P&G and Nestlé’s insatiable demand for
palm oil.

Fresh satellite imagery shows accelerating destruction of carbon-rich
forests in Indonesia’s protected Rawa Singkil Wildlife Reserve within the
majestic Leuser Ecosystem -- one of the last places on Earth where
critically endangered Sumatran orangutans, tigers, and elephants still
coexist. They could soon disappear forever -- but we have a plan to save
them!

P&G's AGM is just around the corner. It's their big moment to show off to
investors. And our chance to really turn up the heat on executives at this
critical moment -- and make palm oil deforestation THE story coming out of
their AGM.

We can unleash a brand-damaging ad campaign, make these executives famous
in the media, hire researchers to dig up dirt to show investors, amplify
the voices of land defenders, and more! But to compete with their
well-funded, slick marketing machines, it's going to take all of us
pitching in a little.

With your help now, we can fight to protect our natural world from
corporate greed. Can you chip in to save the orangutans before it's too
late?

Deforestation for palm oil is picking up speed. 2024 smashed recent
records with vast amounts of Indonesia’s precious forest lost, more than
half of which was critical habitat for orangutans, tigers, and elephants.

Profit-hungry companies are driving this deforestation, tearing down and
burning forests, then replacing them with massive palm oil plantations --
all so the likes of P&G, Mondelēz, and Nestlé can put palm oil in snacks
and detergents.

Massive public pressure, including from the Ekō community, forced many
companies to do better in recent years. But now, that progress is slipping
backwards, and critically endangered orangutans are at serious risk of
disappearing altogether.

We have to do something -- and fast.

P&G's AGM is just around the corner. It's a huge moment for executives to
put on a big show for investors...so we're going to turn the spotlight on
them. They won't know what hit them.

The team is ready to make such a stir that the big story coming out of the
AGM is deforestation. Together we can make this moment a turning point for
P&G -- and then keep up the pressure on brands to commit to and enforce
policies that protect forests and our natural world. Can you chip in now
to save the orangutans?

Your donation will help power Ekō and our campaigns worldwide fighting for
people and the planet.

Our community convinced McDonald’s, Starbucks, and PepsiCo to commit to
no-deforestation palm oil policies – and now it’s more important than ever
that we quickly scale up our work. Let’s do it, together.

Thanks for all that you do,
Allison and the Ekō team
