According to CNN, the annual AIPAC-sponsored trip to Israel for House Democratic freshmen is scheduled for this week — in the middle of a genocide and rising famine.

The anti-Palestinian lobby group sends Congress members – particularly freshmen – on these propaganda trips every year to ensure their allegiance for years to come. Christian nationalist and Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is already in Israel, making the rounds.

This year’s cohort of Democrats is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, while the Israeli government continues to wage a genocide.

50 miles away from Palestinians facing forced starvation, members of the U.S. Congress will be rubbing elbows with the government orchestrating the famine. It is absolutely shameful and despicable.

A vast majority of voters on BOTH sides of the aisle oppose Israel’s violence and mass starvation of Palestinians: the Democratic Party should be listening to the people and uniting to stop Netanyahu’s war crimes by blocking new weapons sales to Israel, NOT taking a free trip there paid for by AIPAC.
