Special Olympics changed my life

Hi, my name is Ben Haack. I’m a Special Olympics athlete leader and I serve on the global board of directors.

Twenty years ago, I found something that gave me a soul, it gave me meaning, hope, achievement, and finally a place to belong. This ‘something’ was called Special Olympics.

When I was younger, I was a social outcast, incredibly angry, had no friends, and a terrible future laid out in front of me. But through Special Olympics, I found friends and discovered abilities I never thought I had.

These last few months have been difficult for athletes like me around the world. We miss our friends, our teammates, and the camaraderie and sense of belonging that comes with it.

I can’t wait to be back on the field as soon as it’s safe. But first, we need to make sure we are prepared, which includes hitting our Summer Athlete Fund Goal of $25,000.

Will you donate $10 or more today to help us hit this important goal? Every dollar makes a difference and will help ensure athletes like me have everything we need to compete and thrive.

Summer Athlete Fund!

DONATE NOW!

I know coaches, volunteers and employees are doing everything they can to plan and prepare to safely get us athletes back on the field, but we all need your support to make it a reality.

Please, chip in what you can today to help us reach our $25,000 Summer Athlete Fund Goal.

Thank you so much for stepping up during this critical time.

Sincerely,

Benjamin “Ben” Haack
