Hey John — I hope you and your loved ones are holding up okay.
Congress is in recess, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be back home in Vermont to spend some time with my family, meet with folks across the state, and yes, hang out with some baby cows. We could all use some healing.

It’s been a tough few months. It’s hard to find much to celebrate or feel optimistic about when Republicans are slashing Medicaid, picking community members off the streets, and doing everything they can to make billionaires richer while kicking working people in the teeth.
I'm doing everything I can to stand up to the Trump administration and their Republican enablers. But I also want to empower folks like you to use your voices and demand better.
That’s why I want to know: How are you doing? What’s on your mind? Person to person, I’d really like to hear from you.
I know so many people who are feeling deflated, worried, angry, or, honestly, just overwhelmed.
Republicans know it, and to be honest, that’s the point.
“Flood the zone” isn’t just a phrase; it’s a strategy. If the GOP keeps us off balance and disconnected, we’re more likely to check out, give up, or tune out. But we cannot let that happen.
John, I hope you’re taking care of yourself and doing what you need to do to stay sane right now.
And when you’re ready to jump back in the fight, pick that one thing you really care about and lock in. I’ll do everything I can in Washington to support you.
