Today marks the official deadline for the MAGA recall effort against me. It failed.

Angelenos did not want the distraction of a recall to take away from the focus of solving serious problems in the city.

This recall wasn’t just about me or my leadership. It was a MAGA-led attempt to distract and divide our city.

But we never wavered.

While they tried to play politics and use our city as a testing ground for their policies, we kept making progress solving real problems. Sheltering the unhoused. Fighting for our immigrant neighbors. Strengthening community safety. Standing strong against Trump’s ICE raids.

Throughout it all, Los Angeles stood united.

I’m grateful for every Angeleno who kept showing up, speaking out, and staying focused on progress. That’s the spirit we need to carry forward — because the fight isn’t over.
