Here are the facts:

Donald Trump won 21 out of the 22 states where Republicans are defending Senate seats.

The only exception? Maine, where Republican Senator Susan Collins is running for re-election in a state that voted for Kamala Harris.

But Democrats are defending in vulnerable seats like Jon Ossoff in Georgia and trying to win in competitive states with open seats like Michigan and New Hampshire.

With so few clear pickup opportunities, Democrats will need to defy the odds and break GOP winning streaks in some tough states to have any shot at reaching 51 seats.
