Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making our community a better place. Because of your support, the Philly 2.0 budget and my H.O.M.E. initiative are moving forward!

The Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority, PICA, the state board that is tasked with fiscal oversight of the City’s finances, approved the City’s five-year plan.

This is a process that was started in the spring when I gave my budget address to City Council and has now concluded with the board’s recognition of the hard work we have done to ensure that Philadelphia is on sound fiscal footing for the next five years.

But it’s not just about fiscal stability, it’s about investing in making Philadelphia the safest, cleanest and greenest big city with economic opportunity for all. It is important to recognize what PICA approved in the five-year plan:

* ✅ Serious investments in public safety
* ✅ $2 billion housing initiative for 30,000 units of housing
* ✅ New investments in education
* ✅ Expanded Clean & Green initiatives
* ✅ Investments in Philadelphia businesses
* ✅ Funding increase for SEPTA
