Friend, every day in America, families wake up to heartbreak – another shooting, another life lost, another community shattered.

Gun violence has become a daily reality in this country. It's in our schools, at grocery stores, in places of worship, and on our streets.

In just the first half of the year alone, we've seen over 250 mass shootings and over 8,800 lives lost.

In 2024, there were 503 mass shootings.

And since 2015, over 19,000 people have been killed in mass shooting events – many of which involved weapons of war.

Yet still, Congress refuses to act.

As attorney general, I've worked tirelessly to hold gun manufacturers accountable, defend lifesaving gun laws in court, and fight back against efforts to flood our communities with weapons of war. But I know that we can't fix this alone – not when dangerous weapons continue to flow unchecked across state lines and into our communities. 

That's why I'm calling on you to raise your voice with me today. We need federal action to stop the flow of weapons of war, to implement universal background checks, and to invest in real community safety. Because we cannot continue to keep living – and dying – like this.
