Yesterday, Texas House Democrats broke quorum to stop Republicans from
passing their new proposed congressional map.

Their new, gerrymandered map was designed to give five blue seats in Texas
— which are currently held by Democrats — to Republicans. It’s a blatant
power grab from Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott and an attempt to
disenfranchise voters.

These Texas Democrats took an extraordinary step to ensure that Texas
Republicans don’t have the power to rig our elections.
