Ever since Trump + Republicans signed their reckless budget into law, folks in PA have had real reason to worry.
|
|
Just look at the numbers:
|
- $1 trillion slashed from Medicaid
- 300,000 Pennsylvanians – kids, seniors, families – at risk of losing health insurance
- 5 out of the 17 rural hospitals in PA could close
- 12 more rural hospitals could follow within a few years
|
|
3.4 million Pennsylvanians – *nearly a quarter of our state* – live in rural areas. These hospitals are lifelines. But they’re barely hanging on and already having to make tough budget decisions and cut services just to stay open.
|
|
Some are shutting down labor and delivery altogether. The way things are heading, a pregnant woman in Northeast PA could have to drive over an hour just to reach a maternity ward.
|
|
And the VA? Same story.
|
- Tens of thousands of jobs at risk
- Stretching staff thin
- Making veterans wait longer for care
|
|
It’s all part of Trump and Republicans' strategy to chip away at the systems meant to support working families, veterans, seniors, and rural communities.

|
It's not reform – it’s sabotage.
|
|
Republicans are gutting Medicaid, killing the VA, and letting rural hospitals die. All to make room for red tape, out-of-pocket costs, and private insurance profits.

|
Pennsylvania families lose care. Big companies cash in.
