Itās back-to-school season, and an estimated 54.1 millionĀ K-12 students andĀ 5.7 million teachersĀ are set to return to the classroom this fall.
Teachers make up the majority of the nearly 10 million people working in the nationās elementary and secondary schools. This number also includes principals, school bus monitors, teaching assistants, and janitors.

TIGER/Line Geodatabases for 2025
The Census Bureau recently released 2025 TIGER/Line Geodatabases, spatial extracts from the Census Bureauās Master Address File/Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing System for use with geographic information systems software. The 2025 vintage includes the metro and micro areas, combined statistical areas, and metropolitan divisions.
