Hi John,
Some students are already back to school, while millions of others are getting ready for the school year to begin.
At VoteRiders that means we're getting this question a lot:
Can I use a student ID to vote?
The answer is — it depends! 🙃 Voter ID laws vary from state to state, and there’s no one-size-fits-all rule about whether your student ID will be accepted where you live.
That’s why any students planning to vote in state or local elections this year should do an ID check now to determine if their student ID is accepted for voting where they live.
To simplify the process, VoteRiders has compiled accurate, up-to-date information on whether/what student IDs are accepted as voter IDs in each of the 38 states with voter ID laws today. You can look it up on our website [[link removed]] , or text #STUDENT to 866-ID-2-VOTE (866-432-8683) to get the process started.

We encourage all students and young voters to look up this critical information now , at the start of the school year. Getting a state-issued photo ID can be a long process, and it’s always a good idea to get started early.
Don't worry, VoteRiders is here to help! If you have any questions about using a student ID to vote, or need any help getting a state-issued photo ID (for free!), let us know. [[link removed]]
If you’re not a student, you can help by sharing our student ID resources on social media , [[link removed]] or forwarding this email to any students in your life!
Voter ID laws can be confusing — especially for student voters. VoteRiders is here to help you cut through the confusion and make sure you are confident casting your ballot!
Sincerely,
