Join Senator Chris Van Hollen and MKs Nitzan Horowitz and Ofer Shelah to discuss the fight against annexation -- before and after the July 1 date.
J Street

Dear Friend,

July 1 is the date when Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government could begin pressing ahead with unilateral West Bank annexation -- a move which would entrench permanent military rule over millions of Palestinians, erode the foundations of the US-Israel relationship and threaten Israel’s long-term security as a democratic homeland for the Jewish people.

At this point, no one -- perhaps not even Netanyahu himself -- knows exactly what will happen next Wednesday. But whether Netanyahu decides to move forward, decides against it or simply delays, there’s one thing we do know: The fight against annexation and permanent occupation will not end with Netanyahu’s announcement.

Next Wednesday on J Stream, we’ll be reviewing the latest developments with prominent Israeli and American lawmakers who’ve been leaders in that fight. We hope you’ll join us at this critical moment for the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement.

Together, we’ll discuss the effectiveness of the global anti-annexation campaign, the future of the US-Israel relationship and the important steps that Congress, the Knesset and the next administration can take to push back against any annexation, mitigate the damage and reinvigorate the genuine pursuit of peace.

So much of our work over the past few months -- indeed the past few years -- has been leading up to this moment. We hope you’ll join this important discussion.

Thank you for your support,
