John, I have some promising news: The Senate has introduced a bill to repeal the more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act.
Make no mistake, this new push to cancel the cuts is directly connected to the actions we all took as part of the vigil and Families First just days ago.
While the path forward for this bill is unclear, what we do know is that now is not the time to give up our fight. Let’s keep the momentum going by sending messages to our Senators so they know they must sponsor and support this bill! Can we count on you to keep up the fight, John? [[link removed]]

The bill to repeal the Medicaid and healthcare cuts was introduced on the 60th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid – just five days after the end of our 60-hour vigil. When we held vigil for 60 hours, honoring those 60 years by sharing our stories and taking action, we had a loud and clear message for Congress: cancel these devastating cuts to Medicaid.
Cutting more than $1 trillion from Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act will only cause pain for families across the U.S. – including rural hospital closures, increasing workforce shortages, and growing waiting lists for home and community-based care. State legislatures are already calling special sessions to deal with these devastating cuts. And families across the country are already feeling the effects, from difficulty finding affordable care to worrying about how to pay for a parent's medication.
At our vigil, we made a loud call for our elected leaders to put the needs of our families ahead of billionaires – a promise they were elected on. Now, we have an opportunity to hold our elected leaders accountable to that promise.
Take action: Call on your Senators to support and sponsor the bill to repeal the Medicaid and health care cuts. [[link removed]]
Medicaid has stood strong for 60 years, and now it’s time to protect it, restore what’s been taken, and strengthen the program to meet the needs of the next 60 years. Thank you for being a part of this fight.
With care,
