John,
In 2017, I asked you to step up and support Doug Jones for U.S. Senate, and with your assistance, we helped elect a Democratic Senator in Alabama.
I was proud to support Doug back then, but I’m even prouder today. He has been a leader in the Senate from day one. He’s fought to protect healthcare and the Affordable Care Act. And when difficult votes have come before him the Senate, Doug has never flinched from doing the right thing.
Doug has lived a life of courage, spending his career fighting for the rights of all Alabamians. He advocated for women’s right to choose, and convicted two of the former Klansmen responsible for the gut-wrenching bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church that killed four young Black girls in 1963. His record on civil rights is needed now more than ever.
Doug knows what it means to stand on the right side of history. Every time. Even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. That’s why it’s absolutely imperative we keep him in the Senate fighting for what’s right.
There’s no sugar coating it: Doug has a tough race in 2020. But a new internal poll from Doug’s campaign shows him trailing his likely opponent by just three points. That means he’s in striking distance.
If we’re going to flip the Senate, and get a big, bold progressive agenda passed by Congress next year, we absolutely need to help Doug hold this critically important seat in Alabama.
That’s why I’m asking: will you split a contribution of $10 or more to Doug’s campaign and my own today? We’re coming up on our next big FEC deadline next Tuesday. Now is the time to do everything in our power to hold the House and flip the Senate:

Doug has stood up for Alabamians and Americans everywhere, time and again. Now it’s time for us to stand up for him.
Thanks,
