John,
ICE raids are spreading fear and trauma in immigrant communities—and people across the country are rising up to protest the return of Trump’s xenophobic, illegal and cruel immigration policies.
While right-wing extremists in Congress cut more than $1 trillion in funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and other critical human needs programs, there’s one area that got a major boost in funding: Trump’s detention and deportation machine.
Congress increased ICE funding by tens of billions of dollars, including as much as $45 billion for ICE detention centers—a 600% increase.1
ICE is breaking our due process laws, illegally arresting and deporting residents with legal status, denying people—including U.S. residents—their right to an attorney and their day in court. Let’s be clear: anyone on U.S. soil is afforded the same constitutional due process rights. Attacks on these rights and the administration’s threat of suspending habeas corpus is a threat to every one of us.
We must stop this abuse. Can you rush a donation of $5
to power our fight to hold ICE and this administration accountable? Together, we must combat this terror being inflicted on immigrant communities.

Already, we’ve seen how far the Trump administration’s lawlessness is willing to go. They have brazenly flouted judicial orders to stop deportations without due process. We’ve seen the Trump administration orchestrate ICE’s public arrest of a sitting judge in Milwaukee, an arrest of a member of Congress from New Jersey, and the physical assaults on a U.S. Senator and a NYC elected official.2,3,4,5
The administration’s lawlessness must end now. Congress needs to act by investigating and holding ICE accountable. Public pressure is our best tool to demand action.
