We’ve just released groundbreaking data on an important solution: Campaign Funds for Security. This report is a first-of-its-kind analysis, uncovering how federal candidates have been using campaign funds on security expenses to protect themselves and their families.

We identified an over 7,000% spike in federal campaign security spending in the past decade, meaning that spending grew over 18 times faster than overall candidate spending at the federal level.

Here’s why this is important. This data shows that when Campaign Funds for Security are available, like at the federal level, candidates use them. People who want to serve their communities in every state in this country should be able to, too. And we also then need to make sure that candidates know that this resource is there.
