   Hi John,
Just last week, Brazil's Congress passed a law to fast-track fossil fuel
projects in the Brazilian Amazon, despite massive opposition from
   Indigenous Peoples and traditional communities.^1
But this fight is not over yet.
Brazil's President Lula has the power to veto it in the next few days.
He’s publicly positioned himself as a climate champion, and now it’s time
to hold him to his promise: to strike down the climate destruction bill.
John, we’ve already sent a message to Lula online — can you
help tag him in our posts so he sees it? All you have to do is click the
   button and comment or repost.

John, this is bigger than just one bill. Leaders in the U.S.
and other wealthy countries are backing away from their promises to act on
climate. With Brazil set to host COP30, the world’s biggest climate summit
this year, we need to send a clear message to world leaders: the climate
movement will not let them undo years of hard-won climate progress.
It starts here. It starts now. And it starts with holding President Lula
   accountable.
Stand with Indigenous Peoples. Call on President Lula to veto the bill!
