Wait… she was arrested and they hired her anyway?
You read that right. A Columbia medical student was arrested during a pro-Hamas riot. She stormed a library… someone ended up in the hospital.
Despite her arrest, Wimer was selected for a competitive residency program at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. But when Accuracy in Media reached out to Alameda Health - the hospital’s parent organization - they refused to confirm whether she’s still on staff.
Why the silence? Are they ashamed, or just hoping no one notices?
When our team visited the hospital to ask questions, we spoke directly with patients and community members. Their response? Outrage. Many said they’d never want to be treated by someone with Wimer’s background.
As a medical resident, Wimer is supposed to care for people of all backgrounds. But how can patients trust her, given her history of antisemitic violence?
Tell Alameda Health: Enough. Patients deserve better.
