This morning, I went on Morning in America to say what every American needs to hear:

Donald Trump is trying to build a Congress that works for him, instead of building an agenda that works for us.

And Texas is just the beginning.

Here’s how it happened:

A month ago we heard rumors that President Trump asked Gov. Abbott to redistrict Texas and create more Congressional seats. Not because of updated data. But because the polling shows he grows less popular by the day.

Less than a month after that news broke and just days after floods killed 137 Texans, Gov. Abbott announced redistricting as a priority for the Special Session.

It doesn’t get any clearer than this: Trump made a demand, and Abbott rushed to deliver.

Now they are fast tracking a redistricting plan in the middle of a tragedy — carving up communities like Austin, stealing five seats, and manufacturing a GOP majority.

We came to Chicago to stop them. And we’re just getting started.
