AJC made history at the United Nations founding conference in San Francisco in 1945, where it participated as one of the consultants to the United States’ delegation. As the UN now marks its 75th anniversary, please join us for a discussion with two prominent former U.S. Ambassadors to the UN, John Negroponte and David Pressman. They will discuss how the world body has – and can – advance U.S. national interests globally, particularly in bringing peace and security to troubled conflict areas, protecting human rights, and tackling emerging global challenges. Ambassador Negroponte and Ambassador Pressman, in conversation with Felice Gaer, Director, Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights, will explore whether and how the UN can remain a key venue for enhanced U.S. foreign affairs leadership.

This AJC Advocacy Anywhere opportunity will be recorded for playback.
