On Tuesday, APWU members, our fellow postal workers and community allies took action across the country to send a loud and clear message to members of the Senate: Save the Post Office!
Dozens of coordinated events took place across the country and approximately 200,000 people participated on a livestream that celebrated the delivery to senators of more than 2 million petition signatures for the public Postal Service.
These actions helped us spread the word and strengthen the public’s resolve to protect our Post Office.
This is a key moment. We will have to continue to put pressure on our elected official this summer if we are going to secure vital funding to save the Postal Service. The offices of senators of all parties are telling us that they are feeling that pressure - so let's keep it up.
