Friend,

In just a few days, Seattle voters will get the chance to renew one of the most innovative and effective democracy boosting programs in the country – the Democracy Voucher Program.

On August 5th, Seattle voters will decide whether to keep this first-in-the-nation program that gives voters four $25 vouchers to support local candidates they believe in. It’s a simple idea with a huge impact: putting political power back in the hands of everyday people – not billionaires or special interests.

Here’s why this program matters:

✔️ It’s empowered thousands of residents to participate in local elections
✔️ It’s helped grassroots candidates run competitive campaigns without big money backing
✔️ It’s become a national model for building democracy from the ground up

I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to leave $100 on the table.

So, fill out your Primary ballot, vote YES on Proposition 1, and return your ballot no later than 8 PM on Tuesday, August 5th. Find a local drop box here!

Not in Seattle? No worries! Your local ballot has important choices too – so be sure to vote.

We can’t afford to lose the progress we’ve made. This election is our chance to protect the progress we’ve made, right here at home.

Thank you for standing up for a democracy that works for all of us.
