Dear Friend,
You may know Hillsdale College—but you probably haven’t met Frank.
Frank knew he wanted to serve. But without access to a proper education—one rooted in our Western tradition—he might never have become the sheriff’s deputy he is today.
He’s just one of many Hillsdale alumni making a difference—in law enforcement, government, education, business, and family life.
Right now, there are thousands of young people like Frank. They want to lead. They want to do good. But they need your help to receive a proper education and become responsible adults who have good character and care about their communities—self-governing citizens.
Today, you can read what Frank has to say and help make stories like his possible for others by supporting:
- A classical education for K-12 students nationwide
- Free online courses for millions of Americans, including the young
- Imprimis, our digest of liberty, sent free of charge to families across the country
Because of our extensive outreach efforts, even the smallest gift goes a long way to reach and teach millions of Americans on behalf of liberty.
None of this work is possible without informed patriots like you—because we accept no government funding, and neither do our students. Not even indirectly in the form of federal or state student grants and loans. NOT. ONE. PENNY.
Will you help educate and inspire the next generation of American leaders? You can do so at this secure link: https://secured.hillsdale.edu/hillsdale/annual-fund
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and Frank’s story. Remember, your support can make a difference in a young person’s education.
Warm regards,
Labin Duke, Th.M.

----------------------------------------------
Dear Friend,
When I’m on patrol, I often think about how I got here.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a sheriff’s deputy and a recent graduate of Hillsdale College.
Labin Duke from Hillsdale heard my story—and he thought you should hear it too. People like you helped support my education, so you should know how this generosity made it possible for me to work in law enforcement and keep our communities safe.
Hillsdale taught me to love truth and defend liberty; now, I do it every day.
Growing up in D.C., I was drawn to politics. Majoring in politics at Hillsdale felt natural—but I never expected how much it would shape me.
After four years studying thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Locke, and Madison, I knew politics was about securing justice and peace—and I was driven to build a career that defends it.
Law enforcement was a natural choice, and in my career, I’ve seen firsthand the application of justice in real life.
Many people helped make my education possible with their generous support of Hillsdale College and its mission.
There are young men at the College who want to become leaders and serve their country and communities. But we need to make sure this education continues—and that Hillsdale can teach many more beyond its campus. That’s where you come in...
You can ensure the next generation fights to defend liberty by giving a tax-deductible donation to Hillsdale today.
Hillsdale is so much more than its campus. I have friends across the country who work every day to defend liberty.
Your gift isn’t just a donation—it’s a strategic investment in the future of our nation.
You can make that happen using the secure link below.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the principles that put me on the road fighting to keep our communities safe.
Warm regards,
Frank
Hillsdale Alum
P.S. My main task is to keep the roads safe. If you drive, please do so carefully. I’d hate to have the first time we meet be a traffic stop.
