Hey, it’s Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

I’m checking in with you personally because extremists in Washington are hurting our communities and threatening to strip away the freedoms we hold dear.

While my fellow Democratic governors and I have rolled up our sleeves to fight back, make no mistake: it won’t be easy – and we can’t win without your help. ​​So I’m asking: Will you add your name now to stand with Democratic governors who are standing up for you and fighting for our freedoms across the country?

Republicans in Washington have officially passed their bill to cut food assistance for thousands of Pennsylvanians, rip away health care for over 300,000 Pennsylvanians, eliminate energy jobs, and raise our electricity bills – all while adding $3.4 trillion to our national deficit.

It’s unconscionable.

And all of this just to pay for tax cuts for people who don’t need it, while making working families foot the bill.

But this is a battle we can’t turn our backs on. American workers, families, and students are counting on us to make progress and fight back against the extremism coming from Washington – and we can’t let them down.

I promise you this: I will never stop fighting to protect Pennsylvania’s progress and ensure every Pennsylvanian has access to real opportunity and real freedom.

And I’m not alone. Democratic governors nationwide are standing up to act as the last line of defense.

But we can only defend our fundamental rights and freedoms with the help of grassroots Democrats like you.
