Here’s what you need to know:

First: Donald Trump signed an executive order to stop federal funding for NPR and PBS after falsely claiming for years that they are “biased and promote left-wing causes”.

Then: Republicans in the U.S. House passed a bill that would cut $1.1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which funds public television and radio stations like PBS and NPR across the country.

Now: To make matters even worse, the CPB just announced that they're shutting down because of Trump and the GOP's cuts.

That’s why we’re circulating this urgent petition to send a resounding message to Trump and the entire GOP that we won’t stand for their attacks.
