The question is pretty simple… So, does it matter?

Had to rush this together because I’m off to Disneyland today. Gotta get the most out of that annual pass!

First a couple of key stories:

  • The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower court decision to prevent the Trump Administration from engaging in high profile sweeps of illegal aliens. The injunction lasts while an underlying case percolates through the system.

  • The Trump Administration has held back about $340 million due to UCLA due to campus anti-semitism. Will this lead to a massive settlement like was done with Columbia?

As always we ask that if you are enjoying So, Does It Matter? That you share it with a few friends! Here’s a handy link!

Okay, the week that was on the “So, Does It Matter?” Substack!

California Patriot Profile of John Kobylt. Each week we profile a liberty-loving Californian who is willing to stand up against the progressive-left that is so vocal here in our state. Vocal is the work - no one has a louder voice in California politics than longtime KFI AM Radio talk show host John Kobylt. Click through to his profile learn more about him, and how to listen to his show on your device!

Republicans Should Be Very Worried About This Plan. Governor Newsom announced that he is going to ask the State Legislature to put a new set of California Congressional District lines in front of voters, asking them to basically blow up a bunch of GOP-held districts, and shift them to the Dem column. This is my very in depth analysis of the situation, and the threat.

Turns out that the data show us that more Republicans are leaving California, and more Democrats are coming here. The Public Policy Institute of California has released a report showing that of those leaving California, conservatives make up the lion’s share — heading to red states. But also liberals are being attracted to this big blue state. What does it all mean? I unpack it here.

After 200 Days In Office The New Mayor Of San Francisco Is Popular, But Can He Bring A City Hall Dominated By Progressives To Heel? There are over 30,000 employees in the city of San Francisco. The public employee unions are strong, and the bureaucracy legendary. How’s it going? We take a deeper dive…

With the election of President Trump, the Federal Government and the State of California are at odds over environmental policy. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin has announced that the EPA will be undoing a rule that has been the justification for a lot of the extreme “climate emergency” policies in the country. What does it all mean? We take a look.

A Political “Wayback Machine” Video… “Mr. Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall!”

In 1987, Ronald Reagan stood before the Brandenburg Gate, delivering a speech that would echo through history. With unwavering conviction, he challenged the Soviet Union, demanding freedom for those divided by the Berlin Wall. His bold words inspired hope, ignited change, and symbolized the fight for liberty. This iconic moment captures the power of leadership and courage—watch it to feel the pulse of a world on the brink of transformation! This is a longer video (26 minutes), but it is Sunday!

Finally… In Your Face, Adolf!

Today in 1936 American track and field runner Jesse Owens won Olympic Gold at the Berlin Games - right in front of the Fuhrer himself, Adolf Hitler! He went on to win three more gold medals at those games. Here’s a short video from that memorable event!

Have a great Sunday - I will think of you when I’m in the Haunted Mansion!
