Hello, True Texans!
First things first: last week my husband and I shared a list we compiled of many of the shameful and embarrassing activities that go on in the Texas legislature: DUIs, extramarital affairs, double standards, drunk conduct, shocking fetishes, etc. The reaction was strong when it was all seen in a list like that, and many of you even sent in additional examples. (I didn't update the list because that would be a full time job). You can read it here:
At the end, I implored voters to hold elected officials to a higher standard. And yet...
Here we are entering week 3 of the special session, and no one has called for State Rep Giovanni Capriglione's resignation. Instead, they are giving him excused absences. This means all of District 98 is without representation (the most conservative metropolitan district in the state, being the NE corner of the most conservative metropolitan county). ALL Texans should be asking their State Reps to demand that Gio resign immediately, just as the Reps did with Bryan Slaton. Of course, Bryan was hated by the Establishment GOP, whereas Gio made himself part of the good ol' boys network. There's that double standard rearing its nasty head again.
George Washington Was Not A Terrorist! Here's a great way to hold one elected representative accountable. Did you see the article about the State Board of Education passing curriculum that labels George Washington a terrorist??? Yikes! If we don't call them out when they do this nonsense, they will only get bolder. The term for one of those Republican SBOE members is expiring. His name is Kevin Ellis, and he was appointed by Gov Abbott (shocker, I know). Here's his district:
That's Mesquite, Garland, Rockwall, Tyler, Longview, Nacogdoches, and more. Surely in an area that large we can do better than someone labeling our greatest President a terrorist and teaching Texas's students to do the same. We have a donor who will help. Let's recruit a candidate to school these school board members.

You Asked For It Over and over again, people are asking us to address the issue of cloud seeding and geoengineering. One of our trusted allies, Tom Glass, will speak on this at our September meeting in the Hill Country. This meeting will be livestreamed on our Facebook page and then added to our Rumble account. It's the only meeting he's able to attend - due to his campaign for State Senate D7, he is not able to make the full circuit of TTP meetings. Save the date now. [Note: the calendar link does not yet have full details, but you can get the date and address. Also, we will provide the link to the Rumble recording after the event is over. You can find our Facebook page here.]
It's an honor to serve alongside you. Iron sharpens iron! Thank you so much for being a True Texan!
