Leading the Way in Energy and Agriculture
John,
Indiana continues to be a model for common-sense conservative governance, as
this week again thrust our state into the national limelight.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin joined Governor Mike Braun and Hoosier statewide
and congressional leaders to announce the agency's proposed recission of the
Obama-era endangerment finding. This finding underpins in excess of $1 Trillion
in costs, burdening consumers and taxpayers. In choosing to make this
announcement here in Indiana, the Trump administration has singled out our
state as uniquely ready to meet the call to unleash American energy.
The same day, Governor Mike Braun joined agriculture leaders and lawmakers at
the Indiana Ag Policy Summit in Lebanon on Tuesday, emphasizing key agriculture
victories for Hoosier farmers. In a fireside chat with Indiana Soybean Alliance
CEO Courtney Kingery, Governor Braun highlighted the $116 million in tax relief
included in SEA 1 andhis Make Indiana Healthy Again agenda, including executive
actions to expand access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy
in Indiana schools and homes. These policies are creating new markets and
opportunities for farmers across the state.
Governor Braun also welcomed home Indiana's Task Force One, who's members had
been in Texas to assist in flood recovery. We join Governor Braun in thanking
those brave men and women who took part in this effort and our prayers remain
with the victims of this disaster.
The INGOP Team was proud to host our Republican Women Reception, honoring all
the Hoosier women whose work and dedication keep our party alive and stronger
than ever.
As always, thank you for being a part of our team. Please feel free to reach
out if there's anything I can assist with.
