UPDATE: DNC Deploys Grassroots Activists to Contact Voters in Texas to Fight Trump and Abbott’s Gerrymander

We wanted to make sure you saw this:

We’re activating 30,000 volunteers to stand up to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Donald Trump — who are trying to skew the results of the upcoming midterms by gerrymandering FIVE new House seats for Republicans.

Why are they doing this? Because Republicans are scared. They know Trump is historically unpopular and that voters are fed up with his agenda. They’re scared that they’ll lose their House majority, so they’re using every trick in the book to hold on to it.

We can’t let Republicans get away with this. And we won’t. We’ve already sent hundreds of thousands of texts to mobilize against Republicans’ scheme to rig the maps, and now, these 30,000 volunteers are contacting persuadable Republican and independent Texas voters to let them know exactly how Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans are attempting to disenfranchise their vote.

This work is essential. And you might be surprised to hear this, but the donations that we receive from emails just like this one help fund efforts like these to help us stop Republican gerrymandering in states like Texas.
