John,

It’s been so refreshing to be out of Washington D.C., and spending time in the
district! Here are a few ways I have been working this week to advocate for
this district and our conservative values.

I was proud to join Representatives Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Doug LaMalfa
(R-CA) to introduce theHEN Act, legislation that would authorize over $3.5
million over the next five years to fund Hen House structures for ducks after a
string of below average fall flight numbers. These nesting structures would
protect duck eggs from predators like raccoons and skunks. This simple but
effective conservation effort could add more than 100,000 ducks to the fall
flight every year. For Minnesotans, where hunting is a way of life, restoring
duck populations is not just about tradition—it’s about sustaining our
ecosystem and outdoor heritage. Investing in Hen Houses is a smart, proven
solution to help turn the tide of revitalizing duck populations across the
country.

My colleague, Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL), received vile death threats
after bravely sharing her heartbreaking experience with an ectopic pregnancy.
Pro-abortion extremists targeted her, her family, her staff, and every
Republican fighting for life, with harassment and threats. It’s sickening and
unacceptable. As co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, I joined my
colleagues in issuing a statement condemning this violent rhetoric. No one
should be threatened for defending the unborn. Representative Cammack faced a
terrifying medical emergency, and to make matters worse, misinformation created
fear among her doctors. Let’s be clear: miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies
are not elective abortions. She received life-saving care, not the procedure
pro-abortion activists are falsely claiming. It is for this very instance that
I included exceptions for the life of the mother explicitly in my Defund
Planned Parenthood Act. No woman should be denied emergency care when her life
is on the line, and no doctor or hospital should fear prosecution for doing
their job.

This week, I joined my colleagues Representatives Brad Finstad (MN-01) and
Pete Stauber (MN-08) in formally requesting a federal investigation of
Minnesota’s Department of Human Services amid mounting allegations of Medicaid
fraud. At the center of it all? Governor Tim Walz. Under his watch, Minnesota
has become a breeding ground for fraud, waste, and abuse. From widespread
Medicaid-related scams to the Feeding Our Future scandal, Minnesotans have lost
hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, all while the Walz administration
looks the other way. The damage is staggering, and the mismanagement is
blatant. It’s time for the U.S. Department of Justice to launch a full,
independent investigation, not just into the fraud itself, but into the
Governor and his administration’s failure to stop it.

We need real accountability. We need to restore public trust, protect tax
dollars, and ensure every federal and state dollar is used as intended and not
funneled into corruption.

As always, thank you for your continued trust and support. Don’t hesitate to
reach out if you have any questions or need assistance with anything.

With gratitude,
