New poll: Majority of DC residents want DC Council to amend or reject Commanders deal

Stadium supporters and opponents both feel the team should pay property and sales taxes, and also believe the District should pursue a new Metro station for the site and a competitive process for housing and retail development rights.

Locals in places like Front Royal–70 miles west of DC–refer to this traffic collectively as “leaf peepers,” and while they’re anticipated annually, they’re not considered normal.
