What do jeans and lemonade have in common? Theyâre racist.
Â
American Eagle just put out a new ad featuring Sydney Sweeney (some Hollywood type Iâve honestly never heard of). It's just a clever spot where she talks about âgenesâ being passed downâthen flips the script and says her âjeansâ are blue. Simple and harmless, right?
Â
Wrong.
Â
The liberal media and internet trolls wasted no time calling it racist, accusing the company of promoting eugenics, and dragging out the Nazi comparisons, which really grinds my gears.Â
Â
Iâve said it before, and Iâll say it again: Comparing anything to the Holocaust is disgusting, lazy, and downright wrong. Thatâs just the go-to for Democrats when someone doesnât check all the diversity boxes they cling to.
Â
But itâs not just American Eagle. Dunkinâ Donuts is catching heat now too. The liberal mob is coming after them for an ad where a young teen-idol type of guy thanks good genes for his golden tan as he drinks some sorta lemonade beverage. Thatâs it. Thatâs the hysteria-inducing controversy.
Â
Folks, this is what the Left is worried about. Not our countryâs spiraling debt. Not the border. Not even the cost of living. Theyâd rather pitch a fit over commercials about denim and fruity drinks. This pointless drama is exactly why they lost last yearâand it sure isnât helping their chances as we approach the midterms.
Â
Meanwhile, Iâm back in East Tennessee for our district work period, talking to folks about real issues that affect their everyday lives. If Democrats put half as much energy into talking to real people as they do screaming into the void, this country would be a lot better off. They may even fix a problem or two.
Â
I really thought President Trumpâs big victory was going to be a wake-up call for the radical Left, but I guess itâs true what they sayâyou canât teach an old dog new tricks. Let âem whine and weâll keep working.
