Today is the first day of August, and I’ll be extremely honest about this: It’s the hardest month of the year to raise money.

People are out of office. Kids are out of school. Things get quieter.

But the raids aren’t stopping. ICE doesn’t slow down. And that means our work can’t stop, either.

We’re working around the clock to launch our first wave of Liberty Vans. We’re putting together mobile teams of lawyers, chaplains, veterans, and camera crews prepared to follow ICE raids in real time and expose what they’re doing.

We’ve made real progress toward getting this operation off the ground, but August can’t be a dead zone. If we slow down now, we lose momentum. If we stop, we lose time we don’t have.
