John -- Republican lawmakers in Georgia are trying to ban the mailing of absentee ballot applications to voters. This is an active measure to suppress the vote right before the most important election of our lifetimes.
We have seen this over and over again in our state. It is clear that we are going to have to triple our efforts make sure our voices are heard, so I am establishing our Voter Suppression Response Fund. Will you chip in $10 or $25 right now to help us fight back against this attempt to swing elections in favor of the Republican Party?

After the hours-long lines to vote, closed polling places, malfunctioning voting machines, and even people even waiting in line to vote after midnight that we saw just earlier this month -- how dare Georgia Republicans respond by making it harder to vote.
And the truth is, voter suppression is nothing new to Georgia. Our opponent Karen Handel has a history of implementing and supporting draconian voter suppression tactics.
So much so that civil rights legend John Lewis called one of her laws “an attempt to take us back to another dark period... when people were denied access to the ballot box -- simply because of their race or nationality.”
John — this is what we are up against: A Republican Party willing to do whatever it takes to hold onto power, and an opponent who has made a career out of making it harder for folks to cast their votes.
That’s why we need your help. We need to ramp up our voter outreach efforts, and fast, if we’re going to overcome these obstacles to beat Karen Handel. Can you chip in $10 or $25 right now to our Voter Suppression Response Fund to help us ensure our voices can be heard?
