John, something weird is happening.
First, our Congresswoman Maria Salazar voted against releasing the Epstein Files. Let me repeat that: Maria Salazar voted against releasing the Epstein Files.
Then, she stood by and did nothing while the House quit early so she would not have to vote again for a cover up. And just today, Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved from being held here in Florida, where she was tried and convicted, to a minimum-security facility in Texas.
This comes just days after she was interviewed by Trump’s Department of Justice and amid reports that Trump’s name appears in the Epstein Files.
I just have to ask: what is going on? What kinds of secret deals are being made here? And why don’t our elected officials seem to be doing anything about this?
Republican Maria Salazar should be using her power in Washington to demand answers. With the narrow majority Republicans currently have, it would only take a handful of Republicans to join the Democrats and get the answers that everyone is asking for.
But instead, Salazar is standing with Trump.
We deserve elected officials who will fight against corruption and for the truth, regardless of party loyalty.
I’m sure Salazar and Republicans will keep trying to brush this under the rug. But I’m running to be your voice. So that’s why I wanted to ask your opinion: do you want answers on why Maxwell has been suddenly moved to Texas? Do you think the Epstein Files should be released?
