Before heading back to Texas, last week I had the pleasure of hosting Scott Mason, Regional Administrator for the EPA’s Southcentral Region. Region 6 serves Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. We had a great conversation on how we can work together across the region to strengthen partnerships and support economic growth.

I recently joined the Texas Consilium for a panel discussion on global trade, tariffs, and how federal policy is shaping opportunities for Texas manufacturers and small businesses.

I had a great time touring WareSpace in North Richland Hills. They offer warehouse solutions across North Texas by offering our job creators access to the space and resources they need to grow. I enjoyed learning about how they support small businesses in our community.

I enjoyed the opportunity to tour CTR Aero’s 65,000 square-foot facility in Carrollton. They are a family-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small business that is playing a vital role in American defense manufacturing. During the visit, we discussed regional infrastructure needs to support continued manufacturing growth in North Texas.

This week I was honored to join Inside Texas Politics and Lone Star Politics to talk about the importance of the One Big Beautiful Bill as well as updates on the North Texas Job Fair - both these programs air on Sunday. Watch some of my other recent interviews below.

Thursday was National Intern Day! I wanted to recognize our D.C. summer interns, Abigail, Christopher, Claire, James, and Varsha! They worked hard this summer taking your calls and leading Capitol tours for Texas-24 residents on their trips to Washington. They have made a big impact in our office this summer, and we are excited about what is ahead for each of them!

If you are interested in interning in our D.C. or Addison office, apply now here.

Had a great meeting with the Remac Group, a family-owned small business right here in Texas-24! For over 35 years, their J. Renee’ brand has delivered dependable women’s footwear.

Stopped by the Texoma High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) facility in Irving to take a tour and learn more about how their task forces are combating drug trafficking across North Texas and Oklahoma. This program brings together hundreds of federal, state, and local officers who are all committed to making our communities safer.

Texas-24 Work of the Week

This week, I joined my colleagues in demanding the withdrawal of an IRS ruling from the previous administration that was unfairly targeting legitimate business transactions. This is a step toward restoring accountability for taxpayers.

Texas-24 Hometown Hero

This week’s Texas-24 Hometown Hero is Mark Kochalka, Retired U.S. Navy Commander. From flying missions in the Middle East to leading critical defense programs in Dallas, Mark has continued to serve our country and community!
