Jack — Kamala Harris officially announced this week that she will NOT run for California Governor in 2026 — setting up a Newsom vs. Harris presidential primary clash for 2028! But Harris' decision also means that Democrats are now gearing up for a massive, expensive, and bruising primary fight for the California governorship.

This could give Republicans a leg up in 2026 — but only if you join the fight ASAP!

Harris's announcement means three things:

  1. A wide-open governor’s race that will dominate the political landscape here in California for the next year.
  2. Newsom and Harris will continue to ramp up shadow presidential campaigns for 2028 — and all eyes will be on California (and their failed leadership).
  3. A huge opportunity for Republicans to organize, recruit strong candidates up and down the ballot, and break the Democrat stranglehold on our state.

But we have to move NOW — before the Democrat machine starts their fundraising blitz.

The Republican Party of San Diego County is preparing to:

  • Recruit, train, and run conservative candidates in races from city council and school board to state legislature and Congress.
  • Compete for the governorship with a common-sense Republican who can bring real leadership to Sacramento.
  • Expose the failures of Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom — and make sure neither ever sets foot in the Oval Office.

Harris and Newsom have spent years selling America on the “California model” — high taxes, crippling regulations, surging crime, homelessness, and an exodus of businesses and families. We’re going to make sure voters across the nation know the truth: California under Democrat rule has failed.

To do that, we must build the resources right now to be competitive in 2026 and 2028. But we can’t do it without you.

Will you contribute today to help us recruit, train, and elect Republicans in 2026 — and finally take back San Diego and the rest of California?

Let’s fight — and win — together.

Thank you for your support,

Paula Whitsell
Chairwoman, Republican Party of San Diego County
