Night to Unite & National Night Out is this coming Tuesday, August 5, and it’s one of the best opportunities we have all year to talk with friends and neighbors about issues that matter to us—including Ranked Choice Voting and how it works, why it matters to us, and the goal to bring statewide RCV to Minnesota.
You can find out information about National Night Out in your city here (scroll down for information and links for each community). Not sure where your nearest NNO block party is being held? No worries – just sign up, and we’ll help you find it: |
Take RCV to your block party
There’s no better time than NNO to talk with neighbors about something hopeful and promising. RCV is a real solution to the growing concerns about our democracy and people are eager to talk about concrete ways they can help move our country forward. Download the flyer on RCV and share it with your neighbors—and if you’re especially ambitious, help us collect petition signatures! |
Outreach in the 5 Cities with RCV elections this year
If you are in one of the five cities using RCV (Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park), remind your neighbors that they will be voting using RCV for local elections this fall. You can use the flyer for your city to explain RCV and what elections they will be voting on this year. For more information about RCV elections in the five Minnesota cities, see rankyourvote.org. You can also download the linked city-specific flyers or show on your phone:
Or view and print any of the flyers here.
If you don’t have a block party, sign up to volunteer to attend another one to educate voters. We will have volunteers in targeted neighborhoods where there are competitive elections. |
Let’s keep growing the movement for RCV one person, one neighborhood at a time! Ask your neighbors if they have heard about RCV. Let them know that you would like to see RCV used in our state and federal elections and allow every city the opportunity to adopt it if they wish.
Thank you for helping to advance this top democracy reform in our state, and we wish you a safe and fun National Night Out!
Sincerely,
Your FairVote Minnesota team
