John,
The people of France are outraged. The government just passed a law that
re-legalizes bee-killing pesticides – opening the door for other countries
to follow.
It’s a massive win for Bayer, and the cashed-up corporate lobbyists behind
this Duplomb Law, which also makes it easier for them to slip through more
dangerous laws like this one that undermine democratic rights, weaken
public health protections, and erase environmental laws.
But there’s a way to stop it!
Our partners have launched a legal challenge at France’s constitutional
court, and time is running out to help them win. On August 7, the court
will decide the fate of this law – and bees.
If enough of us rush a donation, we can give this fight the influx of cash
and public support it needs and turn this into a victory for bees, people,
and the planet. It’s our best shot, John – can you chip in for
an emergency campaign to save the bees?

France’s new law is a nightmare for bees, people and the environment.
These pesticides, called neonicotinoids, are scientifically proven to
devastate bee populations. Just one seed coated in these chemicals can
poison an entire colony. And the damage doesn’t end with bees. They seep
into soil, rivers, and even our food.
But despite all the public outcry, and a petition on the government’s own
website with more than *two million* signatures calling for the law to be
repealed, French politicians are moving ahead with it.
It's a slap in the face to everyone who fought for years to get these
poisons banned. If this law prevails, other countries could pass similar
laws.
And that’s not all. This law scraps independent safety reviews, reduces
public oversight, weakens judicial review, and violates France’s
Environmental Charter. It gives Bayer and corporate giants more power to
push through other dangerous laws.
Thankfully, our partners have filed a brilliant legal challenge – and we
already have millions of voices behind us. All we need now is enough cash
to fund this fight to the very end.
We have just 6 days to give it everything we can – will you rush a
donation to save the bees?
