HONOR THOSE WHO RUN TOWARD DANGER

USO Supporter,

From the beginning, Coast Guardsmen have demonstrated courage in the face of danger, responding to hurricanes, wildfires and floods — including the recent tragedy in Texas where Coast Guardsmen rescued 230 people.

On August 4, 1790, Congress approved the construction of ten boats to enforce trade laws and to prevent smuggling. Originally known as the Revenue Cutter Service, the agency’s mission evolved and expanded as the nation grew, officially becoming the United States Coast Guard in 1915.

In 3 days, the U.S. Coast Guard will celebrate its 235th birthday — please join us in thanking them for their bravery and selfless service. Your generous gift can help fund support for all of our service members, like care packages, internet access in remote locations and critical programming at USO Centers.

As the Coast Guard’s mission has evolved, so has the USO’s role in supporting them. Your generosity can help provide day one support for recruits at USO Centers, internet access for service members responding to emergencies, care packages and other essential USO programming.

When it comes to service to our country, there are few who exemplify honor and bravery like the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard. Celebrate this special day with a gift of gratitude for the service members who are there when we need them most.

Thank you for showing your patriotic support of our military heroes.

With gratitude,

The USO
