Gaza’s 1 million children face severe food insecurity and starvation

In the Gaza Strip, children are forced to endure unimaginable living conditions, with starvation rates skyrocketing to unprecedented peaks. Essential supplies, like food, fuel and safe water have plummeted to critically low levels, and of the more than 113,000 children screened for malnutrition in June, nearly 6,000 were found to be acutely malnourished. July is already predicted to exceed this number, with 5,000 children admitted for treatment in just two weeks.

It’s back to class for children impacted by floods in Nigeria

Preparing youth for the workplace by closing the gap on digital skills

UNICEF and partners have set out to empower children with essential digital, entrepreneurial and AI skills, making rewarding careers possible for generations to come.

UNICEF works to curb the raging spread of cholera in Sudan

Amid Sudan’s full-scale armed conflict, a deadly cholera outbreak threatens the lives of children who have already been through so much. Since January 2025, a total of 32,070 suspected cholera cases and 742 deaths have been recorded. UNICEF and partners are working with the Federal Ministry of Health to slow the spread of cholera and save lives by delivering vaccines, ensuring access to safe water, boosting community awareness on proper hygiene practices and more.

Help UNICEF get lifesaving aid to children in crisis

Recent cuts to foreign assistance globally mean that many of the most important programs protecting children will be severely curtailed or cease to exist. That is why we are asking Congress to provide a voluntary contribution of $150 million to UNICEF’s core resources for Fiscal Year 2026. Your voice matters now more than ever.
