Congress just gave ICE billions – we need accountability. Take action.

ACLU Supporter, masked, unidentifiable agents are tearing our communities apart.

Immigration agents across the country are concealing their identities to carry out inhumane raids. This means more fear and mistrust between the public and government officials. It means no one can meaningfully call for accountability from agents. And it means that people can't tell the difference between real government law enforcement and impersonators.

We should not have to live in fear of masked, armed agents on our streets. The Visible Act would ban non-medical masks for federal agents in our communities and require visible identification.

As Congress' August recess begins, right now is the best time to put pressure on our representatives to move this bill forward. Tell Congress to pass the Visible Act immediately. <[link removed]>

Raids put people in danger. And with a recent budget bill pouring billions into Homeland Security for immigration enforcement – having federal agents concealing their identities and dodging accountability only makes matters more alarming. Federal agents across the country have worn masks and refused to provide ID during raids, leaving families with no information on what happened to their loved ones or whose custody they've been taken into.

Our communities shouldn't have to live in fear of masked agents who refuse to answer basic questions about who they are and where they are taking our loved ones.

That's why the Visible Act was just introduced in the Senate – a commonsense transparency measure that requires federal agents to wear visible identification that clearly identifies the agency they are part of and their name or badge number.

We can demand more transparency and accountability – but it's going to take all of us, and your representatives in Congress need to hear from you now. Tell your members of Congress to vote yes on the Visible Act. <[link removed]>
