Our economy isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as it was designed to — for the billionaires and the bosses. Meanwhile, too many families are one paycheck, one sick day, or one flat tire away from disaster. That’s not freedom. That’s not security. That’s not dignity.
Democrats used to lead with bold ideas about raising the minimum wage. Now, too many of them whisper about “cost of living” without ever naming the real problem: corporations raking in profits while workers fall further behind.
We need to remember the promise in our preamble — promote the general welfare. Not just for the wealthy. For all of us.
Progressive policies like a livable wage are not some wild fantasy. They are the bare minimum. And if we want a future where our kids thrive, we need leaders who fight for real, material change — not just messaging.
Next up: affordable housing. Because you can’t build a strong family or a strong future without a roof over your head.
