If you haven’t read it yet, it says everything you need to know about why J.D. Scholten is running for Senate.
In May, an Iowan asked Joni Ernst to explain why she supports a bill that would strip health care from millions and kill tens of thousands of Americans every year.
Her answer?
“Well, we all are going to die.”
She meant it. And then she doubled down, filming an “apology” video from a cemetery , mocking her critics and plugging Christianity as a life-after-death solution.
That’s where J.D. Scholten comes in.
While Joni was filming in a graveyard, J.D. was at a funeral in Sioux City, honoring a lifelong community activist. And in that moment, everything clicked:
We don’t have to die so billionaires can have another tax break.
We don’t have to gut Medicaid just to please Elon Musk.
We don’t have to lose rural hospitals and nursing homes in the name of “small government.”
J.D. is stepping up because Iowans deserve a senator who sees people as people, not political pawns.
