A recent CNBC study ranked Indiana ninth on the list of America's Top States for business.

The ranking can be attributed to Indiana's low cost of doing business, low cost of living, good infrastructure and a business-friendly environment.

Indiana's Ultimate Farmers Market Contest

Indiana Grown's Ultimate Farmers Market contest is back! This statewide competition gives Hoosiers a chance to vote for their favorite local farmers market and help showcase Indiana-grown products.

Voting is open now through Aug. 11, with one vote allowed per person, per day. The winning market will be announced Aug. 13.

This contest is a great way to support your local market and celebrate the role these farmers markets play in our communities and local economy.

The Hive Mind Art and Farmers Market in Grant County is included in this year's competition, and I encourage community members to show support by voting!

Indiana Roads Rank Best in Nation

One of the government's most fundamental jobs is to provide safe roads for constituents.

With that in mind, I'm pleased to share a recent report ranks Indiana's roads as the best in the nation, with more than 97% of our roads meeting federal standards.

This comes on the heels of significant investments made by the Indiana General Assembly in state and local roads to ensure we maintain our reputation as the Crossroads of America.

Though I fully acknowledge it can be frustrating to navigate construction areas as a driver, I hope this ranking serves as a reminder that, sometimes, growing pains are necessary to maintain our strong infrastructure network for all drivers.
