First of all — thank you. Over the past week, we’ve been sharing what Texans are going through and suffering at the hands of our ineffective GOP — from devastating floods to Greg Abbott’s mid-decade redistricting scheme to Ted Cruz’s insane ability to be missing in action when we need him to do his job.
It’s a lot to deal with.
But instead of running, YOU kept showing up, standing with us, and helping us raise the alarm. The funds we raised this week are vital to holding these fools running the GOP accountable. Thank you so much for being a part of this fight.
URGENT: Now I want to take this opportunity to remind you that the Legislature in Austin is seeking and accepting comments TODAY and only for at least the next few hours about their racist redistricting plan.
RIGHT NOW, please, this is your LAST CHANCE TO FIGHT BACK against this gerrymander, and we need your voice. Provide your comments on these maps and let the GOP know that you won’t stand for this. Comments could be cut off as early as 10 am CT.
Make no mistake: The new proposed GOP map is designed to erase the power of communities of color and hand Texas over to Donald Trump. If we don’t show up in force today, they’ll get away with it.
Let them know that we see their power grab, and we won’t be silent.
