Join Sister District DC Metro Area and our co-sponsor, Lead Locally, as well as members of The Woman's National Democratic Club, on Sept 29, to hear from our two incredible candidates for the VA House of Delegates-- IN PERSON!

Our goal is to raise $5,000 each for Delegate Cole and Elizabeth Guzman at this event, so please consider donating $50 in advance of your registration. There also will be opportunities to contribute at the venue on Sept 29!

In what was our most successful July blitz ever, Sister District DCMA raised almost $13.5K to help Elizabeth Guzman continue her campaign and get closer to a November victory!  Congratulations on this amazing fundraising effort! 👏🥂

The Democrats currently have a 51-49 seat advantage in the House of Delegates. For a state legislative race, $13.5K is a HUGE amount.  These funds will go a long way to helping Elizabeth win her seat in HD 22 and keeping Virginia BLUE!  

Sister District DC Metro Area is pleased to announce its merger with Diversity Matters.  Recognizing that we share common goals, we are combining forces to strengthen our alliances and communities, and widen the Democratic majority in Virginia this year.

We have partnered with each other in the past, including supporting Lashrecse Aird and Josh Cole in 2023.  We believe that Virginia can be the roadmap for America.  Virginia's delegation is the most diverse in the state's history thanks to the unprecedented diversity of the Democratic slate of candidates.

By joining our fundraising operations, strategic planning, and grassroots networks, we vastly amplify our ability to support our state legislative candidates.

We're excited and confident that this merger will help us keep Virginia Blue and strengthen our power in future state elections across the country.  We hope you will join us in welcoming Diversity Matters activists to the Sister District Community!

We're still looking for phonebankers!

Why phonebank? The data proves it: phonebanking is THE BEST volunteering option for remote voter contact. We identify supporters and let them know why their votes matter, speak with undecided voters, and recruit local volunteers.

New to phonebanking?  Don't worry! No experience is necessary. Each Zoom phonebank includes training and check-ins for first-timers (experienced callers can jump right in). We'll share successes and address questions throughout the session, all while contacting voters in crucial state legislative races. Our veteran phonebank leaders will help you get comfortable, increase your effectiveness, and make sure you have a great experience.

We have requested over 3500 postcards for Elizabeth's campaign and these will be distributed to our writers around August 8.  We welcome ALL volunteers!
